Burberry is well-known for their outerwear and especially the trench coat.
And with good reason.
When Burberry was first founded back in 1856 their focus was on the production of outdoor attire.
Did you know that they were the outfitter for Roald Amundsen on his historic expedition?!
Roald Amundsen was the first man to reach the South Pole and he did so wearing Burberry.
When it comes to outerwear, the Burberry quality has put them both on the south pole, across the antarctica and an attempt on Mount Everest.
When the company was commissioned by the War Office to adapt the officer’s coats to be better suited for modern warfare, Burberry gave birth to the still very popular trench coat.
After the war it became popular amongst civilians and the rest is history.

And as you can see, Burberry makes all kinds of attire so it’s not all about outerwear. But still to this day, no one does outerwear like Burberry. In my opinion at least!!
