Wardrobe classics

Every wardrobe needs the classic staples. I am all in favour of a good bargain but when it comes to the staples, I find it best to invest. If you go for quality the items can serve you for years. What are your wardrobe basics? My list of basics includes a white button down shirt, a pair of pumps, a pencil skirt, an envelope clutch. But also a turtleneck sweater, a blazer, ankle boots, a pair of jeans, an oversized bag, and probably a bunch of other stuff I fail to mention. As for good basic colors I would choose black, navy and grey.Wardrobe classics

Fall is not complete without plaids! This super cool skirt is from Burberry Brit and has a ‘back to school’ kinda vibe to it. If it’s cold you can wear wool tights or leggings underneath your skirt or dress. I love the combination of a short skirt and a big warm sweater. It’s the perfect outfit for fall. This fringed wool sweater is from Altuzarra.
Ankle boots from Tod’s and a smiley tote from Anya Hindmarch.

The winter blues

I’ve been absent a while now. The idea was to take a short break from the internet and devote my time to family only during the holidays. It’s evolved into a long break and time spent on myself. Sometimes we need to unplug and get to know ourselves again. I’ve spent so much time online I’ve forgotten what I’m all about. I’ve spent 2016 rediscovering myself. I believe most of us have memories of things we loved to do, but we don’t do them anymore. I wanted to know why that is, is it because I no longer love doing those things or did I simply lose it along the way. I’m also travelling for winter break. Not far, just to visit my family in Oslo. So I don’t know when I’ll be back posting daily , if ever. For now I wish everyone a great new week, use it well! The winter blues

Winter, Ice & Everything Nice

I’m welcoming the first snow and I love this time of year!
I’m a huge Christmas person and that’s a big reason why I love this season.
I’m already getting into the spirit of Christmas and I’m longing for December when it all starts:)
But after New Years I’m beginning to get tired of snow and ice and everything nice.
I actually don’t find it all that nice anymore.
This year it was still snowing as late as in June!!!!
Can you believe it! It’s getting crazier every year, something’s wrong with the weather!

September Wish List

Here’s my September Wish List…finally!!
The hardest part is narrowing it down to only 10 items:)
Cardigans (4 & 10) are perfect this time of year when it’s chilly outside, but yet not cold.
I’ve never owned a faux fur coat ( 9 ) so maybe it’s about time I get one.
A nice and warm jacket (8) for cold winter days and a few new pants (3 & 5) is just what I need!
Boots in another color than black ( 2 ), warm sweaters (1 & 6) and a waistcoat for days I want to dress up a bit.
What’s on your wish list for fall?

We’ve covered plaids before, but the British influence also includes argyle, houndstooth and checked items.
This is a trend that comes back again and again.
These patterns are often easy to find at second-hand stores or maybe even deep inside your own closet:)
