Get The Look

Today it’s all about the midi A-line skirt and the first post out is a ‘get the look’ post.
I love the look in this image, her skirt seems to be made of some sort of shiny material, like ultrathin leather or something. I couldn’t find one like it but I did find another awesome A-line midi skirt in yellow, from Le Ciel Bleu.
I’m not a huge fan of the crop top unless it has long sleeves, it’s something about a long sleeve crop. This one is from TopShop. Handbag from Fendi, mid heel pumps from Rupert Sanderson and oval sunglasses from Giorgio Armani. I thought I had picked out some amazing arm candy but turns out it’s a ring! It’s not always easy to tell from a photo when you can’t see its real size. The ring is from COOMI and the necklace is really a necklace and it’s from Fallon.

Get the Look – Sarah Jessica Parker

Today my second ‘get the look’ post features Sarah Jessica Parker. Few has been copied as much as this girl, both as Carrie Bradshaw and as herself.
And with good reason, Sarah Jessica’s got style!
The girl knows how to dress, and what a dream it would be to get a peek in her closet. It’s probably a walk-in, I’m sure of it.
In this set Sarah Jessica is wearing a sequined zebra dress from Blumarine, a white blazer from Stella McCartney and killer heels from Nicholas Kirkwood.
While I picked out a zebra print dress from Michael Kors, blazer from The Row, and heels by Office. And like Sarah Jessica I’ve picked out golden accessories to go with the look. Copy Cat

Get The Look – Elle MacPherson

Today I’m doing three ‘get the look’ posts, starting with Elle MacPherson.
Elle got nicknamed ‘The body’ after appearing on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimwear issue a record-breaking five times. One would think a nickname like that would weigh on you as the years pass but Elle looks as fabulous today as she did when she first appeared for the world, and her body is still smashing even though it’s been around for over 50 years.
Here Elle looks effortlessly chic in a pair of jeans, a black tank top and a white blazer. I love how she mixes the blazer with the jeans and tank top, and then slips on a pair of sandals and adds a scarf. And look at that hair!
It just goes to show that you don’t need to cut off your long locks just because you’ve passed 40. And in this case even 50!Get The Look

Less or Lux

And then we’re back home again after five awesome days at the cabin.
This set shows how you can copy Kendall Jenner’s look in this image.
I’ve included both an expensive outfit and a bargain outfit.
Personally I always go for the look for less option.
For the expensive look I’ve chosen a cotton-blend blazer overcoat from Ann Demeulemeester and leather leggings from Balenciaga. I can’t really tell whether Kendall is wearing a top or not but I would assume she is so I went for a leather bustier from Kiki de Montparnasse.
The over the knee boots are the eye-catching part of this look and I’ve chosen a suede pair from Gianvito Rossi. The bag is from 3.1 Phillip Lim.
The less bargain outfit is just as fabulous with a Pinko Black blazer and leggings from TopShop.
A bralette bra from Pieces and Latitude Femme boots. The bag is also from Pieces.
So, which look would you choose?

Flowers & stripes

Ruffled mini skirts are very trendy this season, and even more so if it’s floral.
Stripes and floral makes for a fun and cute mix.
This relaxed-fit t-shirt has hand-drawn-style stripes and soft colors.
A fitted denim shirt is perfect with this look.
You can wear it like Flavia in the image, and tie it around your waist.
A cross body bag in faux leather and a pair of light blue flats adds to this youthful look.
The lovely lady in the image is one of my favorite fashion bloggers, Flavia Desgranges van der Linden from Brazil. She blogs at fashioncoolture and you can find he awesome blog by clicking here.

Inspiration – Get The Look

I love Flavia’s style, as you probably have noticed.
Her taste is very much like my own so it’s a blast to follow her.
I would love to know the size of her closet though!!
I have spotted her wearing the same item over again and I love that she does!
If I had to wear something new and different every day I would soon run out of things to wear, the secret is to use the same item but style it different, that way it may appear it’s an all new outfit when really it’s not.

Longing for Summer

Today I’ve been wearing my summer dress for the first time this summer, but I was wearing it indoors!
I am seriously sick of waiting for the sun to start shining on me.
We had a few great summer days in May, but June was terrible and July has been even worse.
My many capes and ponchos have come to good use at least, their great to wrap myself in when going out on the porch for a smoke (nasty habit I know).
But after suffering through a really bad summer last year I am not sure I can handle another one knowing we have 8 to 9 months of winter ahead!
Sun come shine on me, pretty please!
I wanna put my shorts on!
While I wait, I’m getting some inspiration from Flavia below, visit her at Fashioncoolture and let her outfits blow you away:)Longing for Summer
