Denim dress

Denim never goes out of style and if you have a denim dress, or any dress, you can still wear it as it gets cooler if you add a blouse underneath.
This denim vest dress is from Derek Lam.
The trendiest blouses have big bows attached, like this one from Vero Moda.
I’m crazy about handbags, I love them in all shapes and sizes and simply can’t get enough bags. I’m the same with necklaces, and then comes shoes. I’ve noticed that when I fall in love with a bag, more often than not, it comes from Marni.
I’d love to have a Marni bag, like this one in this set, but it is way out of my league.
But I get to play with them while making my sets, so I’m good.

Simple pleasure

I love this designer outfit but it’s one I could not afford.
I have no problem with chain stores being inspired by the big designers, but I can understand how designers does not want to have their work copied.
Pop up stores are a new thing during fashion week and a way for designers to tackle the copying going on. Usually we have to wait months for the clothes to hit the stores, and that gives the chain stores plenty of time to copy. Now that designers sell their clothes as soon as they come off the runway they deal with this issue head on.
What do you think of this practise?
If the item is not available at a chain store the option to buy it from a designer is not an option for me personally. Simply too expensive.
I do believe that those who can afford it do prefer the real thing over a copy anyways. So I’m not sure if they win more customers this way, but I might be wrong.
Though I have to say, copying is not really something I endorse. Inspired by on the other hand, I’m all for!
Skirt from Balmain, top from Dolce & Gabbana, blazer from Rag & Bone, sandals by Alexa Wagner and tote from Kenzo.

Fall is not complete without plaids! This super cool skirt is from Burberry Brit and has a ‘back to school’ kinda vibe to it. If it’s cold you can wear wool tights or leggings underneath your skirt or dress. I love the combination of a short skirt and a big warm sweater. It’s the perfect outfit for fall. This fringed wool sweater is from Altuzarra.
Ankle boots from Tod’s and a smiley tote from Anya Hindmarch.

Olivia style

After several days with awesome summer weather it’s now gone. Instead it’s raining and it’s gotten colder. Hopefully these dark clouds are just passing through. But what a great reason to wear jeans again. Ripped jeans might look a bit trashy. Personally I prefer them to be just slightly ripped. Pair your ripped jeans with a classic white shirt and high heels and you’ll go from trashy to classy in no time. Just look at the lovely Olivia Palermo!Olivia style
